Founder Dane Stimart created Finnitsea after decades of experience in MedTech, startups, and global innovation, turning informal mentoring into a dedicated consulting firm focused on helping great ideas succeed.

Dane Stimart

Founder & CEO

Dane brings nearly 20 years in MedTech & HealthTech, including 13 years at Medtronic leading global hardware and software portfolios and four years founding and advising early-stage startups. He holds an MBA and dual engineering degrees from the University of Minnesota.

Ryan Barfield

Cloud Architect and Engineer

Ryan has experience in cloud solutions technology, data engineering, AI, and a wide range of other technologies. He met Dane while working at MyMedVita, where their professional collaboration flourished across multiple successful projects. Ryan is passionate about helping startups navigate technology hurdles.

Nicolas DiCosimo

Mobile Applications Engineer

Mobile application engineer Nicolas brings a Computer Science background from RPI and expertise in Kotlin development to Finnitsea Enterprises. His experience with complex project work and lifelong passion for programming enable him to deliver innovative mobile solutions for growing startups.

Lauren Hagen

Mobile Applications Engineer

Lauren brings a human-centered approach to iOS development, backed by her computer science education and minors in UX design and digital media studies. She specializes in creating iOS applications that balance technical excellence with exceptional user experiences for growing businesses.

Our Name

The name Finnitsea draws inspiration from the Finn, the longest-standing Olympic-class single-handed sailboat. Known for its precision and challenge, the Finn has long been a proving ground where sailors learn the fundamentals before advancing to larger vessels and open-ocean racing.
